Cover Letters
are widely believed to be a vital part of the application process. Many job seekers
question whether or not they are really necessary.
The answer is that although some employers may ask you not to send a cover letter,
the cover letter is an essential element of your self-marketing efforts.
Cover letters should
be typed in a business letter format and should be individualized for
each job opening. Generic cover letters are about the same as not sending
one at all. It will take more time to write individual letters, but
will
be
worth
it in the long run.
The best way to write a cover letter is to look at the job description
and your resume and write the cover letter as the"bridge" between your
qualifications and the employer's needs and requests. There are several
examples of cover letters provided below for download. If you need
