ALUMNI OF CSUSB may access all Career Development Center services FREE
as of 10/1/05. So if you are not working or are looking to change careers, please take advantage of our services.

Please Note: Parking permits may be required when visiting the University. Please call Parking Services at (909) 537- 5912 prior to your visit.

Career Fairs — The Education Job Fair is held every Winter Quarter for those interested in K-12 careers in teaching, counseling, and administration. The Career Expo is held every Spring Quarter for those interested in Full and Part-time jobs and internships in business, industry, and government. All career fairs are open to CSUSB alumni.

Career Library — A broad range of information in the form of career-related videos, reference books, cd-roms, and directories are available for review. Magazines and publications, including the Job Choices series are free while supplies last. Computer workstations are also available for your use in searching the Internet for jobs and internships.

Resume Critiques — Alumni may access the Walk-In Resume Critique sessions during the academic year, please check out our Resume page for workshop dates and resume walk-in times. Thank you!

Career Counseling* — Career Counseling encompasses all aspects of career planning, job search, assessment, career change, and selecting a major course of study. Unfortunately, same-day appointments are not available.

Career Testing* — One computer-administered test is offered: the Strong Interest Inventory. Please call to schedule a time to take the test and an appointment for the interpretation of your results. There is a $10 fee for this test.

Mock Interviews* — A great way to practice for a professional interview. This 90-minute (videotaped) practice interview and feedback session will help highlight your strengths and increase your confidence level. There is no additional cost for this service; however, please bring your own blank VHS tape.

Placement Counseling* — Individual appointments may be scheduled with our Placement Counselor. Appointments typically run 30 minutes to one hour and are typically reserved for questions about job search strategies, resume writing and interviewing techniques. Unfortunately same-day appointments are not available.
