San Manuel Application
The San Manuel Internship Program has been established to promote students’ understanding of different cultures and belief systems, while simultaneously focusing on social, economic, and cultural well-being of indigenous people and other minorities. Each quarter the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians will be awarding one internship in the total amount of $1500.00 (students will receive $7.50 per hour for 20 hours per week for 10 weeks). There will be four internships per year (one per quarter). Preference will be given to those projects which will enhance the interests of California Indians.
Guidelines for Instructors:
- Instructors must complete the attached two page project proposal application requesting an Intern. When completed the application should be returned to the Career Development Center.
- Once the proposals are accepted and reviewed, an internship will be selected.
- Priority will be given to those proposals that best meet the needs of area tribes.
- The deadline for the proposal is one month before the end of the quarter and Awards will be determined prior to the start of the quarter.
- Instructors are allowed one intern per year, to be selected by the Instructor.
- The student must: have and maintain an overall GPA of 2.5 (3.25 for graduate level): be enrolled as a CSUSB student and currently not employed by CSUSB.
